A LEATHER JACKET WITH SUEDE BOOTS

Image
Those of you who have followed me for a long time will know that a leather jacket, skinny jeans, and boots, is kind of a signature look for me, especially in the cooler weather. For this particular combination, I wore my  Allsaints Elva Leather Jacket   with my  Topshop Grey Jumper , my  L’AGENCE Margot Skinny Jeans in Slate , and my  Stuart Weitzman Lowland Boots in Black , finished off with my  Saint Laurent Grey Nano Sac de Jour  in some photos. Wearing grey and black monochrome is a look that I’m really fond of too. I’m all about keeping things neutral and rarely having that much colour anymore, unless it’s summer. I often prefer blush tones or muted shades now too, so this outfit is perfect for me. I will admit that I was absolutely freezing though as it was only 4C out! Sometimes you just have to suffer to wear the outfits you want though, ha ha. What do you think of this one? Do you like it? Lorna xx.

A JULY LIFE UPDATE

Image
A JULY LIFE UPDATE I know I skipped a monthly update last month, but as I was in  Lyme Regis , it made more sense to do a holiday roundup instead, but I have quite a few things to share with you for July, so here it is! First of all, the weather has been absolutely insane, it’s raining and huge electrical storms lighting up the sky every second one minute, and then it’s really hot at record breaking temperatures in the UK of 39C. This is so weird for July for us! I do, however, know when my birthday is coming because I checked the forecast and it’s rain, pouring rain, ha ha. Saturday should be fun! I actually don’t have any plans for my birthday this year, which is unusual, as usually I know what I’m doing, but I guess I’m keeping it low key! Anyway, the photo above was shot at Bath on the Beach, which is an area inside Victoria Park here which they have covered in sand and turned into a Hawaiian themed beach! Isn’t it really cool?  You can see the photos for the full...

HYPERMOBILE EHLERS DANLOS SYNDROME – DIAGNOSED

Image
Here goes! I wasn’t sure how to even start with this post as I’ve shared my health journey with you ( see previous posts here ) for the past few years now. Obviously I have suffered my whole life and have looked at many different avenues to find out what could be wrong, and after 29 years (very nearly 30!) I finally have a diagnosis. It’s been a really long journey and one that’s been incredibly complex and challenging, but I’m hoping now that I might be able to start getting the help I need and be able to live a bit more of an exciting life. So, without making this too long, I will start. I was diagnosed with Hypermobile Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. Hypermobile  Ehlers-Danlos syndrome  is an inherited connective tissue disorder that is caused by defects in a protein called collagen. It is generally considered the least severe form of Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS) although significant complications can occur. Common symptoms include joint hypermobility, affecting both la...

HOW I COPE WITH ANXIETY & STRESS

Image
I start typing, then I delete. I type, then I delete. This is a subject I’ve been procrastinating over sharing in depth for some time as it’s so close to home and personal, but in doing so I am hoping it might act as some kind of therapy or at least lift some of the burden so it’s not something I’m internally struggling with anymore. I’ve briefly touched on the subject a couple of times before and so many of you have reached out to say you’ve been through anxiety riddled points in your life and you were hoping that I would share my story, so here goes… For as long as I can remember, since growing up, I’ve always had anxiety and worried about everything. I don’t know if this is because I’ve had so many long standing  health issues  since birth and frequenting hospital and having a lot of tests left me scarred and in fear all the time, or if it’s just my nature and the way my brain is wired in the sense that I overthink everything. It’s been a struggle and I remember a ...
